This March Break, the Ottawa Fury are inviting Ottawa's best house league and competitive players to a half day Player Evaluation Showcase. Offered Free of Charge to All Participants, the Fury are seeking the top U9-U12 Boys and the top U11-U13 Girls. Players will spend the morning training with top caliber coaches and some of the top players in the City, including members of the Fury's Prospects Program and Youth Development Academy.

WHO: Boys Aged U9/10 and U11/12; Girls Aged U11-U13

REQUIREMENTS: Players should be a Top House League or Top Competitive Player in Their Present Age Group/Team. They should possess a relatively high level of skill, a visible enthusiasm for and commitment to the game of soccer, and a positive attitude toward learning.

ABOUT THE SHOWCASE: This half day camp will provide the top players in the City with the opportunity to train with some of the City's top coaches along with some of the top players in the Fury's Prospects Program and the Fury's Youth Development Academy. Following a dynamic warm-up, players can look forward to technical drills to help improve their technique, ball mastery and pace of play. This training will also provide the Fury coaches the opportunity to evaluate all players and provide the players and their parents with a verbal assessment and the end of training (12:00pm-1:30pm). ALL PARENTS are enoucraged to stay and watch the coaching and the training. In addition to the verbal assessment, all players will also receive a voucher to attend an Ottawa Fury PDL or W-League game this summer.
ABOUT THE OTTAWA FURY PROSPECTS PROGRAM: Young players more than any others need to have access to the highest standards of coaching within a structured and professional development environment to ensure that they have the opportunity to fulfill their talent and potential. The Prospects Program is an integrated scouting program to identify the top U9 to U12 prospects in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec and provide them with advanced player-centric training from top-level coaches. It forms part of a comprenhensive Player Development Pathway which offers a development path for all players in the club from age 5 through the professional ranks.
ABOUT THE OTTAWA FURY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY: The Club Player Development Pathway provides comprehensive development opportunities for boys and girls from ages U9 through U20, which are not currently available through local community club programs. The Youth Development Academy, for elite players aged 13 through 16, adopts a player-centric development model to allow players to develop to their full potential and reach their goals of competing at the varsity, representative or professional levels. Working within a professional environment, players will further develop their physical, technical, tactical and psychological skills and knowledge. Top-level competition through tournament, league and showcase play supports this development model.
