Jason Whiting is one of the most respected coaches in the city. He is an enthusiastic and passionate coach, which along with his credentials, focus on fundamentals, and knowledge of the game make him one of the best coaches this city has ever seen.

Jason has the proven ability as a winning coach, capturing the national championship in 2006 as the assistant coach at Algonquin College among many other titles and OCAA records. He also has hard credentials as well, earning his a UEFA B license in Ireland and he also holds a National B Canadian license. He has been a coach in Ottawa for many years, working with youth players, men, and everything in between, not only winning with teams he is with, but making each and every individual player who plays under him better.

Jason was appointed to the Ottawa Fury in the USL Premier Development League coaching staff in 2008 with Head Coach Stephen O’Kane, and led the program to an amazing turnaround – winning the division two years in a row with near-perfect records. From 2005-2008, Jason was the assistant coach for the Algonquin College men’s team, winning four consecutive provincial titles, and made it to the national final in as many years. Jason was the Head Coach of the Canadian Deaf Olympic Soccer Team and competed in the 2007 Pan Am Games in Venezuela.

As a player, Jason was a hard midfield general at big schools such as Algonquin College, Brock University and Carleton University. He has played with the Ottawa Falcons Soccer Club for over 10 years. With a Bachelor of Education, Jason is currently an elementary school teacher. He lives in Ottawa with his wife and children.
