About The PDL
North America's Top U23 Amateur League
USL PREMIER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
The top U23 men's amateur league in North America lives in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the development ground for elite players. The 2008 campaign features a 61-team format within four conferences, consisting of 16 regular season matches, 8 home and 8 away. The schedule is augmented by participation in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and various exhibitions. Players have the ability to compete in the PDL throughout the summer months in a professionalized setting while maintaining their collegiate eligibility. The league is the proving ground for players that aspire to reach the highest-levels of the game, while providing affordable family entertainment within their city.

The Fury formed a PDL team in 2005 and in each of their seasons have finished just out of a playoff spot.

Bushiri, Kihara, Dasah and Lefebvre back in Fury navy, white and red for 2008
Four familiar faces will return to the Ottawa Fury Premier Development League (PDL)  squad for the upcoming season.  In the outfield, opposing teams will have to deal with the talents of Paul Kihara, Justin Dasah and Ladislas Bushiri, who have all re-joined the Fury for the 2008 campaign.  Having featured heavily in the 2007 season, all three will bring much-needed PDL experience and the knowledge of what it takes to win and close out games in the highly-competitive league.  Having played all but two games in 2007, Erik Lefebvre (left), the Fury’s number one goalkeeper will also be back between the posts for 2008.
