Andrew Gilchrist

Andrew will be entering his 5th season with the Ottawa Fury and will be the lead coach for the U13 Girls and U11 Boys for the 2010-11 season. Andrew has been a very familiar face to our academy having worked with multiple boys and girls teams. Having started as an assistant during the 2006/07 before stepping up to head coach for 2007/08, also with the U11 Boys. Andrew is a Pre ‘B’ certified coach who has gained experience in all aspects of the game. Andrew is also heavily involved in the Fury’s First Touch Program, School of Excellence and camps.
Before joining the Ottawa Fury he had worked with the Gloucester Hornets Soccer Club, coaching youth and senior teams, held a voting position on the club’s board of directors as well as performing other administrative tasks for the club. Andrew has also worked camps and sessions for Harrison Soccer International (HSI). Andrew enjoyed a very successful youth career with the Gloucester Hornets, played at the district level and traveled to England to train with coaches from the Sheffield United academy.

- Led Gloucester Hornets Women’s Premier team to a spot in the Ontario Cup Semi-Finals. Best finish by any men’s or women’s team in club history
- Assistant with Gloucester Hornets U14R Boys ERSL League Champions and promotion to OYSL
