Mike Gagliano is entering his second season as a head coach in the Fury organization. Prior to last year, Mike spent time as an assistant coach in the Club’s Academy program. In his first year at the helm, he lead a re-vamped U-14 Boys team to the SYL Finals in Tampa, Florida. Mike is no stranger to coaching, as in addition to assisting with the Fury Academy and Super Y league programs he is also an assistant coach with the Algonquin College Thunder Men's Team and will be an assistant once again this season to Fury Youth coach, Jimmy Zito, who will lead the Thunder Men for the third straight season.
In his playing days, Mike spent three years with the Fury Men’s PDL team and was a member of the Algonquin Thunder Varsity team where he played an instrumental part in their success this decade. In his five years with Algonquin he helped lead the team to 5 Provincial Championships, 1 National Championship, 3 Silver Medals at Nationals and was named All-Canadian in 2005 and 2006 and the OCAA Player of the Year in 2007. Mike captained the team 4 of the 5 years he played and is one of the most decorated athletes in OCAA history.
