Team gets second shot in two years at Finals title
With the USL Super Y-League Finals just over a month away, the Fury are preparing to send five teams to vie for a national championship. The U17 Girls qualified for the competition in one of the most competitive SYL age groups of any Fury side, edging out both the MPS Renegades and MPS Crusaders to snatch second place in the New England Division and a ticket to Tampa, FL.

McGuire named 2009 U17 Girls MVP
With a 10-2-2 record in the 2009 season and second-place finish in the New England Division, the U17 Girls capped off a great campaign by qualifying for the SYL Finals in Tampa, FL.
A big congratulations go out to Marie Elyse-McGuire who received the 2009 U17 Girls MVP award from coach Dom Oliveri.

Tessa McClenahan To Play NCAA Division 1 Soccer

2009 has brought another Fury player closer to realizing their soccer dreams. U17 captain and team MVP Tessa McClenahan has verbally committed to NCAA Division 1 side Loyola College for the 2009 collegiate season. Aside from playing for the Greyhounds and being the team's first-ever Canadian recruit, Tessa will study speech pathology as her major.
McClenahan enjoyed a stellar Fury campaign in 2008/2009, finishing second by a single point in during the U17 regular sesason and leading the team all the way to the U17 SYL National Finals game.

U17 Girls Leave Tampa with Golden Memories and a Silver Lining
For the Ottawa Fury U17 Girls their trip to the SYL North American Finals marked their last moments together as a team. The Finals marked the conclusion to the SYL season for all teams, but for this group of girls it was the conclusion of their careers as youth players with the Fury as they move forward with their collegiate careers next season.
